77th Cannes Film Festival

The 77th Cannes Film Festival was an unparalleled experience. Alongside my producing team and peers at the Marché du Film, we seized incredible opportunities to collaborate with and meet some of the world's most prestigious filmmakers. Our itinerary was packed with meetings, premieres, and events, including interactions with sales agents, distributors, PR firms, producers, financiers, and creatives from around the globe.

Strengthening both new and existing alliances with these US and international entities has proven tremendously fruitful. Several projects on my European Film Slate, as well as the Swiss Film Studio build, have garnered significant interest. A standout moment for me was the exciting announcement of my Italian film project, "Captivated." This proud milestone was marked by Deadline Hollywood's article about the project with Director Dito Montiel and actors Al Pacino, Katie Holmes, and Toby Kebbell, which enabled our Sales Agent, Michael Benaroya, with International Film Trust to begin pre-selling our film at the market.

The picturesque old town of Cannes was bustling with over 15,000 accredited participants, marking record attendance numbers for the festival. This year was particularly special as Switzerland was recognized as the "Country of Honour," highlighting it as the most desired destination for international co-productions while also showcasing Swiss filmmakers, companies, and projects. For me, this was further validation and proof of alignment with my endeavors and overall objective of revolutionizing filmmaking in Switzerland.
