Vienna Scout

We're thrilled to share our exciting journey to Vienna, Austria, following our attendance at the European Film Market in Berlin. This trip was not only a fantastic opportunity to immerse ourselves in the rich cinematic culture of Vienna but also to solidify important partnerships and scout locations for our upcoming film projects.

Upon receiving an invitation from our Austrian co-production head, Viktor Perdula, and the Vienna Film Commission, our team eagerly embarked on this adventure. Our agenda was packed with meetings and location scouting for two highly anticipated film projects: "The Color of Flesh," directed by Jon Amiel, and "Heavy," directed by Jon Keeyes. Exploring the picturesque streets of Vienna, various Hapsburg palaces, and even antique hospital locations – we were captivated by the diverse array of potential filming locations that perfectly complemented the vision of our filmmakers.

One highlight of our trip was the opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art facilities at HQ7, guided by Managing Director Anu Shanker. The world-class amenities and cutting-edge technology at HQ7 left us impressed and excited about the possibilities for future collaborations. This visit marks the beginning of a promising relationship, aligning with our Schweizer Studios endeavor as we explore the potential for a brother-sister studio partnership.

Additionally, we were fortunate to receive a warm welcome from the team at BlautÖne post-production, who graciously introduced us to their Dolby Atmos certified facilities. Their expertise and hospitality were invaluable as we delved into discussions about post-production workflows and the seamless integration of audio technology into our projects.

Our itinerary also included a productive meeting with Valentin Struklec, CEO-Executive VFX Producer at VAST - Visual Effects for Film and Television. Engaging in discussions about the latest advancements in visual effects technology, we gained valuable insights into how VAST could contribute to the success of our upcoming projects.

Overall, our time in Vienna was nothing short of inspiring and fruitful. From scouting breathtaking locations to forging new partnerships with industry leaders, this trip has set the stage for exciting developments in our film production endeavors. We're grateful for the warm hospitality extended to us by our Austrian counterparts and eagerly anticipate the next chapter of our cinematic journey. Stay tuned for more updates as we bring these projects to life on the big screen!
